Even on a credible path to Net Zero, carbon emissions remain for years. With the concept of Ongoing Emissions Responsibility (OER), the SBTi Corporate Net-Zero Standard V2.0 introduces a framework for addressing these emissions, which is set to gradually become mandatory for large companies starting in 2035. Under V2.0, companies are asked to state whether they intend to participate in OER. Even though details are still being worked out, companies are advised to consider potential implications from the outset.
In this free 30-minute webinar, our experts will explain what OER could mean in practice.
Key topics include:
✅ Whether and how OER should fit into your climate strategy
✅ Which criteria need to be considered and how participation works in practice
✅ How to estimate the costs of OER participation
This session is designed for companies with significant ongoing emissions across Scopes 1 and 3 that cannot be eliminated in the near term.
You will leave with a better understanding of the updated SBTi Corporate Net-Zero Standard.
We look forward to seeing you at this webinar!
